I started working on the show. It didn’t have a title yet. It was a bunch of notes and journal pages.
A structure began to form: more characters, a concrete storyline, and a title. The show became Two Thousand Miles.
The musical’s very first song, “Oh Ava,” premieres.
Two Thousand Miles gets accepted into The New York Theater Festival.
First complete draft.
A one act version of Two Thousand Miles premieres at The New York Theater Festival.
Special reading for World Arthritis Day at Pearl Studios.
The musical is performed in concert at 54 Below.
Two Thousand Miles premieres at The Green Room 42 with a full length script.
Second annual World Arthritis Day reading.
Two Thousand Miles has its first full developmental production on Long Island with Second Stage Productions at the BACCA Arts Center.

I started wanting to write again. A new part of the story, along with what I’d been through, felt important to tell.
I knew I wanted to work on it again in some capacity.
Two Thousand Miles becomes INTERVALS.
The old title came from the distance the characters travel, from where they first lived to where they moved, and the distance in their relationships. That no longer feels like the point. I’ve learned that chronic and autoimmune illnesses move in intervals, and what happened to me in college is happening again in a different situation. First it was school. Now it’s jobs.
